Emerald Ash Borer Treatment

With the Emerald ash borer coming through Minnesota now it’s a good idea to save your ash trees. With the ash borer treatment we use a Wedgle to inject a midocloprid insecticide called pointer that is directly injected right into the tree. The Wedgle is used so the trees do not get any damage from drilling this is better because the less holes in the tree the better. Also with the direct injection system the chemical gets into the tree in 2 days where if you spread it around the trunk of the tree it may take 60 days to be absorbed into the tree and be effective. The chemical is a systemic chemical that is absorbs and travels through the cambium and to the leaves to protect the tree from many insect including leave miners and such. Due to the severity of the ash borer there is no promise that your trees are safe from the state coming in and taking the ash trees to prevent a pandemic. Presently, there is no guarantee against state removal of these trees even with treatment. Logically, the state might chose to remove untreated trees only. With the Arbor systems Direct-Inject System, we can provide a service to save your high-dollar ash trees that beautify your home and provide shade and a piece of mind to what nature provides for us.
